Thinking about Poverty over Breakfast

An appropriate first breakfast in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, as I start working in sanitation infrastructure development with iDE: fresh fruit, coffee and a side of Paul Polak’s book “Out of Poverty”. My thoughts right now are summed up by his words: “The most significant positive impact I could have on world health [is] to work on finding ways to end poverty.”  I hope to make a difference!

Breakfast.  Tasty fresh veggies, coffee and Phnom-Penh-style noodles (not pictured).
Phnom Penh in sunrise glory. Lots of construction! Definitely a rapidly developing city.
A bit bleary eyed but excited for this adventure!
One of many gorgeous examples of Cambodian architecture.

And now, out into the city for a bit of tourism!  Starting work on Monday morning.
